Our Story
Priscilla Camacho spent years at the heart of the high-end candle industry, Byredo, Boy Smells, Régime des Fleurs, L'or de Seraphine. That insider position revealed a paradox: the most prestigious home fragrances carried compounds the animals in our homes, the most sensitive noses of all, struggle to process. She knew it, and she chose to act on it. Priscilla knows plants as well as she knows formulas, a dual literacy, botanical and chemical, that made a new standard possible. Bougie Poochie is poured by hand, in small batches, in Los Angeles.
People ask me if Bougie Poochie is a pet brand. I always say the same thing. It's a home brand. It just happens to take the most sensitive nose in the room seriously.
It is through her own greyhound, Lapo, that Priscilla reconnected with her Latin roots, and with the thousand-year bond between the peoples of Spain and Mexico and their dogs. That heritage runs through the house: a relationship with the animal that is ancient, considered, and deeply felt. Lapo shaped every formulation. If a scent meets the standard of the greyhound, it meets everything else.
